The RNLI Grace Darling Museum needs you
The museum runs an education service, offering on-site workshops, talks and holiday activities as well as outreach sessions to schools and community groups.
The role of Museum Education Volunteer is varied and flexible. You could present to our visitors through workshops or talks at the museum or in off-site locations, design and deliver informal holiday activities or supervise young visitors in the museum galleries and respond to their enquiries.
You’ll do some research into the Grace Darling story and the history of the RNLI for this work but this doesn’t mean you have to be an expert as there’ll always be a colleague on hand to assist. You may wish to help with marketing, administration or resource procurement to support the museum’s education service. Whichever role you choose to explore, you’ll maintain our high standard of customer service.
We are looking for a flexible individual who is willing to give some time to help keep alive the story of Grace and her heroic rescue, whilst raising vital awareness and funds to save lives at sea and preserve the heritage of the RNLI.
If you are interested and want to find out more, please contact Verity Owens on 01668 214910 or by email to: verity_owens@rnli.org.uk
