Ben Fogle - TV Presenter

Ben's first involvement with the RNLI goes back to 2005. Before embarking on his Atlantic rowing crossing with James Cracknell, he undertook the RNLI sea survival training at The Lifeboat College in Poole.

He comments on his experience "….to go through the lifeboat crew training gave me a real understanding of some of the dangerous and unpredictable conditions that they are up against.  Having crossed the Atlantic and faced these conditions personally, I have even more respect for the fact that these lifeboat crews are volunteers, who take to the sea to save the lives of others".

Ben ran the London Marathon in 2008 in support of the RNLI.
