RNLI Reindeer Runs took place at eight locations around the UK and RoI in 2009, raising an estimated £110,000 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Two times Olympian and Commonwealth marathon medallist Liz Yelling who was amongst the 4570 runners and walkers who took part in the 2009 RNLI Reindeer Runs and Santa Saunters had this to say:

'My husband and I have done the RNLI Reindeer Run with a group of friends as a Christmas fun run for the last two years.  Despite being a two times Olympian and Commonwealth marathon medallist, I simply enjoy the Reindeer Run as a great day out and a bit of fun with my friends, helping to raise some much needed funds for the RNLI.’
