How to become a supplier

The need to demonstrate value for money is central to the RNLI’s procurement strategy, and cannot be achieved without the support of suppliers both large and small.  We rely on our suppliers to deliver excellence.  We continually seek to improve, and expect our suppliers to play a major part in this process.

How to become a supplier

Supplier selection is based on overall value for money.  Whilst price is important, we will always consider as a minimum; quality, reliability, timely delivery, design, ongoing maintenance, and support of the charity, before arriving at a decision that is the most economically advantageous to the institution.

Potential suppliers must demonstrate their financial, commercial and technical capabilities to fully meet our requirements.  We also look for a clear demonstration of commitment to training of staff, environmental issues and safe systems of working.

The RNLI’s Standard terms and conditions of purchase apply to the institution’s contracts with suppliers, and any purchase by the RNLI is conditional upon having agreed terms and conditions.

If you are a supplier who would like to work with us to help achieve our goals, or if you have a product or service you think could benefit the work that we do, please contact RNLI procurement and we will respond.
