General Situation

An anticyclone near Iceland will maintain a ridge of high pressure across western areas of the United

Kingdom. Meanwhile, a shallow low in the northern North Sea moves slowly southwards to affect

eastern and southeastern coastal areas of England tonight and on Wednesday morning.



From Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney - (SWW)

24 hour forecast:

Northerly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 in east, decreasing 3 or 4.

Rough in north, moderate in east.

Wintry showers.

Good.



Outlook for the following 24 hours:

North backing west or northwest, 3 or 4.

Rough becoming moderate in north, moderate becoming slight in east.
