XM/BFA liferaft safety warning

A safety warning notice has been issued for BFA Marine Pacific or Atlantic or Baltic and XM/BFA Offshore liferafts purchased between August 1995 and June 2000. The manufacturer 'Nautiv Sicherheit für Wassersport GmbH in Liquidation' and 'Zodiac International SA' has identified a possible defect concerning the valves that may lead to a complete failure of the functioning of the liferaft. These liferafts should be serviced to rectify the situation, unless it has been serviced since 1 March 2003 by an approved service station, in which case the valves have already been checked.

Your approved BFA service station will check the valves and if necessary replace them free of charge.
