How it works

MOB guardian device

Step 1

The MOB Guardian personal safety device, worn while working on deck, is constantly in radio contact with the base unit.

Man overboard

Step 2

Falling overboard breaks the radio link and automatically triggers an onboard alarm, simultaneously sending a signal to the search and rescue services.

Position of the casualty

Step 3

An alarm is activated onshore with the position and details of the casualty, typically within 2 minutes of the man going overboard.

RNLI lifeboat

Step 4

This enables the emergency services to initiate a search and rescue operation immediately.
