Fishing is the most hazardous industry in the world.
As a lifesaving organisation, the RNLI believes that as well as providing a first-class lifeboat service, it should be doing all it can to help reduce the number of deaths that occur at sea – of which 20 a year are related to the commercial fishing industry in the UK.

Fishing safety is part of the RNLI's prevention strategy and has been developed over the last 10 years to address the numbers of fatal and serious accidents that occur each year aboard commercial fishing vessels.

MOB Guardian
If you fall overboard, who will know where to look?
The RNLI has developed the MOB Guardian unit, which uses a satellite link to constantly report its position.
