SOS Day 2011 may be over but it's not too early to think about organising your own fundraising event for next year. Here are a few ideas:

Wear both for the day or get different classes to choose one or the other.

Be the belle of the ball or wear your oldest outfit. You could always do both – wear a shirt and bow tie with your jeans.

Get dressed up as pirates or hold a sea themed day with swimmers, lifeguards and maybe even a mermaid or two.

Wear odd shoes, decorated shoes or some unusual footwear for the day eg flippers or ballet pumps.
Other ideas could include Silly Odd Socks or Slippers On School day. For other fundraising ideas, see the SOS fundraising kit.
Gisburn Primary School (Lancashire)
The school did a variety of events including a non-uniform day and Save Our Silver. This included putting money in SOS collection boxes and doing coin art on the classroom floor. They raised a fantastic total of £673.40
St Anne’s Primary School (Donaghadee)
The pupils decided to run a breakfast club to Sizzle Our Sausages, with the local butcher kindly donating the meat for this event. On the day, they thought it would be fun to wear Spots or Stripes. Altogether, the pupils raised £65
Whether you are holding a non-uniform day or have ideas of your own, we have a fundraising kit to support you.
