Fundraising

Fundraising is vital to the RNLI. Your support allows the RNLI to provide a 24-hour on-call search and rescue service around the coast of the UK and ROI. As a charity we rely on you to help us raise the £335,000 per day that we need to run our 234 lifeboat stations and over 330 lifeboats so we can continue saving lives at sea.

With our strong volunteering ethos, the RNLI is also ideally placed to teach young people about what it means to be an active citizen. It is thanks to the willingness of RNLI crew members to give their time and energy for free that more of the money raised can be spent on first-class lifeboats and equipment. Whether it's a coffee morning or you want to adopt us as a charity of the year, your money really will make a difference.

The RNLI has a long and proud history. Since it was founded in 1824 there have been countless examples of courage, selflessness and dedication * qualities that can inspire young people in your care to come together and raise money for the RNLI, and play their own part in saving lives.

School Fundraising is just one way to help the RNLI. If you would like more information about our range of different activities please contact your local office. If you have a fundraising success story to share, please email us the details and we will post it on our success stories page.
