Kent RNLI crews carry out more launches in 2011

The RNLI’s Kent* volunteer lifeboat crews have carried out 396 launches - an increase of 15 per cent compared to the year before** and rescued 442 people in 2011.

RNLI Margate launched 51 times and rescued 80 people, while Walmer experienced over a 100 per cent increase in call-outs at 38, compared to 16 the year before, rescuing 29 people...
