Coxswain

Paul joined the crew in 1984 and was soon made a helmsman on the Atlantic 21 ILB. He was appointed 2nd coxswain in 1992 when the station received a Mersey class lifeboat, and was made up to coxswain in 2005.

2nd Coxswain

John ( Jon Jon ), joined the crew in 1994, and became an asst mechanic until being appointed 2nd coxswain in 2005.

Paul has been on the crew since 1987, and was appointed full time mechanic in 1992 when the Atlantic 21 ILB was replaced with the present Mersey class lifeboat. He also does the role of LTC and deputy cox'n

Karl has been on the crew since 1998 and is now an asst mechanic, and is close to completeing his prosp cox plan for C.O.B.T.

 

Frank Horne.

Frank Horne.

Frank ( Frankie ) has been on the crew at Peel for seventeen years and holds a navigators development plan for C.O.B.T.  He has been a fisherman for 30 years and has recently  been appointed as a fishing safety co-ordinator for the RNLI, which sees him talking and giving demonstrations to fishermen on safety issues around the north of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Christopher ( Chris ), has been an enrolled member of the crew since 2004, but as an officer in the merchant navy, his time ashore is restricted.  Chris now has a prosp navigators plan

Ben Helliwell.

Ben Helliwell.

Ben (Ben), has only recently started coming down to the station and should make a good shore crew member prior to going onto crew the boat. As a youngster,and still at school, he already holds his RYA dayskipper and coastal skipper tickets.  Ben now has a crew plan.

Andrew Kelly.

Andrew ( Kegsy ) joined the crew in 2003, and holds a navigators plan for C.O.B.T.

Marc Marshall.

Marc Marshall

Marc joined the crew on his 17th birthday earlier this year, having wanted to join for a couple of years prior, but was too young. He now has a crew plan, though he still needs more practice on using the kettle !!.

  

Timothy Crookall.

Timothy ( Tim ), has been on the crew since 1987, and in real life has just taken up a new role as the towns MHK.....the manx equivalent to an MP. He currently holds a crew development plan for C.O.B.T.Photo will follow soon.

Michael ( Mick ), has been on the crew since 1995 and currently holds a crew development plan for C.O.B.T. He has recently taken over as licensee for one of the local pubs/restaurants..The Marine...01624 842337...weddings / parties / christenings etc all catered for.

Andrew ( Casey ) has been on the crew since 1992, and currently holds a navigators plan for C.O.B.T.

Assistant Mechanic

Juan joined the crew in 2005, and currently holds a navigators plan for C.O.B.T.  Juan is also on a mechanics plan.

Penelope Hardman.

Penelope ( Penny ), has been an enrolled crew member since 2000, and is currently our only female sea going member. She is on a crew development plan for C.O.B.T. Photo to follow.

Mark joined the station in 1994 as an asst tractor driver and has now decided to go on the boat crew and is currently on a crew members plan on C.O.B.T.

Trevor ( The trained killer ), joined the crew in 2005 and he currently holds a prospective navigators plan on C.O.B.T.

Wiiliam Lyall.

William ( Billy ) joined the crew in 2006, and is currently working through his prospective crew  / mechanics plans for C.O.B.T.

Jonathon ( Jon ), has been on the crew since 2003 when he started as shore crew during university holidays. He has since joined the boat crew and is currently on a  crew plan for C.O.B.T.

Patrick (Pearse ) joined the crew as a tractor driver in 2005.

Colin is another old timer who has worked his way through the boats.He joined in 1972 and was a helmsman on the Atlantic 21, before crewing the Mersey and following his retirement from sea is now the tractor driver.Photo to follow soon.

Eddie Allen......DLA.

Eddie first joined the crew in 1972 and was a helmsman on the stations Atlantic 21 ILB and then went onto crew the Mersey until he had to retire due to his age. He then took up the role of deputy launching authority...DLA.
