St Ives Crew

Thomas Cocking
Thomas Cocking started with St.Ives lifeboat as a launcher in 1970 and did his first service call in 1973 and has been on the crew at St.Ives ever since. He became mechanic in 1983, Second Coxswain/Mechanic in 1990 and Coxswain/mechanic in 2000. Whenever he gets any time off he enjoys riding his motorcycle and one of his favourite sayings is if you can’t eat it or ride it, it's a waste of money.

Paul Whiston
Paul emigrated to St.Ives from Stoke in the 1980's and because he missed the canals so much he Joined the St.Ives lifeboat crew in 1991. He became second Coxswain in 2004. He is a civil engineer and is a partner in his own company, and he enjoys buying and selling boats in his spare time.

Mark Penberthy
Mark joined the crew at St.Ives in 2003 he is now the second mechanic and station LTC. He also runs a computer business when he is not at the boathouse. We also apologise for the picture as he is usually the one taking them we were lucky to get this one.

Robert Cocking
Robert joined the crew at St.Ives in 2003 and is also a helmsman and maintenance mechanic of the station D Class. He is a fishmonger at a local fish factory and for some strange reason that we dont understand he travels to London periodically to watch Chelsea try to play football????.

Robin Langford
Robin Langford Joined the crew at St.Ives in 2001. And how boring is this, he works in a surf shop and thats all we can say really

Dave Stamp
Dave stamp joined the shore crew in 2004 and the follwing year he became an ALB and ILB crew member. He has run his own diving business in St.Ives for the past ten years.
