Martin Cox
Martin is one of 2 full-time members of staff at Appledore Lifeboat Station. He is the Coxswain and is responsible for the boat and crew whilst at sea and is also the Training Co-ordinator.Martin is also responsible for the maintenance of the 2 tractors at station alongside the mechanic
Keith Wilson
Keith is our full-time mechanic at Appledore. He is responsible for the maintenance and most repairs to the All-Weather and Inshore Lifeboats, as well as being responsible for the safe operation of the engines whilst at sea.Keith joined us from Sunderland where he was 2nd Mechanic on the Trent class lifeboat and later retained mechanic for the Atlantic 75. He started here in January 2006.
Jeff Pavitt
Jeff is a crew member for the ALB and ILB, and is working towards becoming a helm of the Inshore Lifeboat which he hopes to complete in the near future.Jeff works for MAK Finnings in sales
Andrew Hallet
Andrew is a crew member on the ALB and ILB. Andrew works for the highways agency
Peter Evans
Peter has been on the crew at Appledore for many years. He is a helmsman of the ILB and an Emergency Mechanic and crewmember on the ALB. Pete works as an Engineer
Andy Short
Andy is a crew member on both ILB and ALB, and is also a helm for the Atlantic 75 at Appledore. Shorty is also one of the emergency mechanics for the ALB, providing cover for the full-time mechanic, He works in the local shipyard.
Neal Hotchkiss
Neal is a crewmember for both ILB and ALB. He works in the local shipyard and is responsible for most of the work in the shipyard done on RNLI craft.
Rich Morne
Rich is a Youth Worker and is also a crewmember for both boats here at Appledore.
Andrew Atkinson
Andrew is a Helm for our Atlantic 75, as well as being a navigator and emergency mechanic! Andrew intends to train to coxswain level to provide cover and support for the full-time coxswain. Andrew works in the local shipbuilders, DML as a design Engineer
Gary Stanbury
RNLI Bronze medal holder Gary is a helm of our Atlantic 75, as well as a crew member and 3rd mechanic for the ALB.
Nick Ayres
NIck is an ILB helm and 2nd Mechanic for the ALB. He works as a mobile fitter for A Plant.
Ian Black
Ian is a crew member for both ILB and ALB here at Appledore.
Sam Jenkins
Sam is a crewmember for both ALB and ILB. She works in the local pub, The Beaver.
Martin Davis
Martin is a crewmember for both all-weather and inshore lifeboats. He lives and works at the Royal George pub which is close to the station.
Owen Atkinson
Owen is 2nd Coxswain at Appledore, providing cover and support for Martin, the full time cox'n. Owen works at DML Appledore as a Design Engineer
Graham Fisher
Graham is the Head Launcher at Appledore, he is responsible for overseeing the whole launching and recovery operation, ensuring its safe and efficient operation.
Clive Leonard
Clive is a member of the shore crew. The shore crew are all equally responsible for launch and recovery of the boarding boat and ILB. Clive is a car mechanic for a local garage.
Adam Williams
Adam is another member of the shore crew at Appledore, you may of seen him at other stations as he likes to visit them when he's not working as an injection moulding operator.
Gary Hulme
Gary is a member of the shore crew and a tractor driver. Gary works for a local helicopter firm. He also cooks a mean breakfast!!!
James Atkinson
James is one of the newest members of the shore crew, who have to do 12 months on the shore crew before they are considered for the boat crew.James works as a plumber.
Jon Short
Jon is the newest member of the shore crew. Brother of Andy, he also hopes to get on to the boat crew.
