As Lifeboat Operations Manager, Joe herd is responsible for ensuring that lifeboat provision is available 24 hours of each and every day.
Alan Robertson
Coxswain
Alan joined the crew of the Buckie lifeboat in May 1991 at the age of 17. Over the years Alan has held various positions including emergency mechanic, second coxswain and in 2006 took over as coxswain upon the retirement of John C Murray (Jake). Alan has his own joinery business
Gordon Lawtie
Mechanic / Second Coxswain
Gordon (Gordie) has held the position of station mechanic since June 1997 having joined as a crew member in 1988. Gordon has held various positions including that of second mechanic. Gordon is the only full time employee of the RNLI to be based at Buckie
