Miller Crawford, Chairman & DLA
Geoff Norris, LOM
Geoff joined the crew as a shorehelper in 1973. He has been Station Hon. Sec. & Lifeboats Operations Manager since 1978. Now retired from proper work he devotes his time to The RNLI, Arran Yacht Club and Arran Junior Sailing Club.
Dr Angus Campbell, LMA & DLA
Angus came to Arran to be one of the local GPs and joined the station in December 1981 as the Lifeboat Medical Advisor followed very shortly after as a member of the Crew. He retired as senior Helm in 1998 and became a shorehelper. He was at last persuaded to become a DLA in 2007. He spends much of his leisure hours sailing and also running Arran Junior Sailing Club.
Bill Barr, DLA
JIm Gibson, Lifeboat Treasurer
Jim took over as Treasurer in 2002. He works for the Royal Bank of Scotland in Brodick and can often be seen in the bank van. Jim has a maritime background before settling on shore and among his hobbies is sailing.
Allan Little, LPO & Tractor Driver
Allan joined as a crew member in 1984 serving as a helm and currently as head Tractor Driver. He became the Lifeboat Press Officer in 1999. Outside the Lifeboat Allan works at the Secondary school and is heavily involved in amateur dramatics and Lamlash Gala Week.
Crawford Duncan, Helm.
Craw joined the crew in 1990. Over the years he has helmed C-class, Atlantic 21s and our current Atlantic 75. He was involved in the trials for the Atlantic 85 in Cowes and represented the Station at the Royal opening of the Lifeboat College in Poole. Among his outside interests is the Lamlash Gala week.
Iain Hunter, Helm & STC
Iain joined the crew in 1998 and became a helm in 2002. He is also the Station Training Co-ordinator. He spends his working life as Hunter Yacht Deliveries refitting, delivering and skippering yachts for other people all over the world and spends his leisure hours sailing with his family.
Mark Nelson, Helm / Mechanic
Mark is a member of the Nelson dynasty. When his father, Dave, was on the crew, and the mechanic, Mark was always down to help with the maintenance. When he joined the crew in 1999 Steven took his place on the maintenance squad. Now Mark is the Station Mechanic and he has his own little helpers. Mark's real work is as a maintenance engineer at Arran Aromatics.
Calum McNicol, Helm
Calum joined the Crew in 2003. He was an outdoor education instructor and now is a director of the Arran Adventure Company. He also helps his partner to run the Bar Eden Hotel in Whiting Bay and the Eden Bar and Bistro in Brodick
Helen Nelson, Crew
Married to Mark, Helen joined in 2002. With a break to produce Marks little helpers she is back on operational duty again. When not child minding or Lifeboating Helen can often be found serving behind the counter in the Arran Aromatics shop.
Martin Ferris, Crew
Martin Joined the crew in 2001. He has sailed with Arran Junior Sailing Club and his father and his main hobby is Diving when he is allowed away from lifeboat.
Steven Nelson, Probationary Crew
Steven's family have Arran Lifeboat in their blood, his father, brother and sister in law all being past or present members of the crew and he must be the longest serving probationer in the RNLI He joined in 2002 and shortly afterwards joining the Royal Navy. He always has managed a shout during home leave and when he leaves the Navy we hope to get him trained!

Ian Ford
Ian joined the crew in 2004and is an HGV driver with a local company delivering timber from local forestry to be shipped from Brodick.

Mark West, Probationary Crew
Mark joined the crew in 2008. He runs a busy flooring business, Mark West Flooring, and can be anywhere on the island when the pager goes but still gets to the shouts.
Craig Patterson, Probationary Crew
Craig is 28 Years old and moved to Arran in October 2007. He Joined the RNLI to get in volved in the local community.Like Jim he works for the Royal Bank of Scotland in Brodick. His hobbies include photography and drinking beer but not at the same time as it gets difficult to hold the camera.
Adam Kelso, Probationary Crew
Adam joined the Crew in 2008. He is currently in Australia. Details and better picture when he gets back.
Anthony Robson, Probationary Crew
Craig Black, Probationary Crew
Craig came to the station aged 16 and trained on-shore, waiting till his 17th birthday until he could be formally enrolled as crew. He received his first shout 8 days after his 17th birthday and is the youngest member of the crew. Still at school he has the perfect excuse to get out of double maths.
Ian Hutchison, Tractor Driver
Ian joined the Station in 1977 and after 21 years as crew and helm became a tractor driver when he had to retire from sea going lifeboat duties. He is a Marine Engineer working at sea so is either 100% available or off island working.
