About this station
Located in the attractive fishing port and popular west coast holiday town, Oban lifeboat station today operates an all weather Trent class lifeboat. For 15 years an intermediate lifeboat was located at the station until 1997.

A former Olympian PATRICK WINTERTON and former British kayaking champion MICK BERWICK will attempt to make the first kayak crossing from Scotland to the Faroe Islands unsupported in June. Few have tried, no one, as yet, has succeeded.
