Iain Parker

Iain has been a Helmsman with the crew for as long as anyone can remember. Iain works in a health and safety department for the government.

Martin Browell

Martin Browell

Martin has been at the station since 1994 and is currently both Helmsman and Local Training Co-ordinator.  Martin is an Advanced Ambulance Technician with the North East Ambulance Service.

Keith Willams

Keith Willams

Keith is currently a station Helmsman and one of the longest serving members of the crew.    A  Framed Letters of Thanks was awarded to Keith for his part in carrying out the difficult rescue of three men who were stranded after their dinghy had been blown onto the Emblestone Rocks in a gale and rough seas on 1 May 1982. Keith owns a washing machine repair business and is married to fellow crew member Lisa.

Peter Browell

Peter Browell

Peter joined the crew following many years as a volunteer with the local auxiliary coastguard. Now fully trained he has become the latest Helmsman on the crew. Away from the station Peter is an installation technician for agricultural systems and is a prolific striker for the local football team.

James Cockburn

James Cockburn

James is another crew member who jumped ship from the local coastguard. James's claim to fame is that he always misses the shouts usually arriving just as the boat is launching.   Stop Press - James finally makes it on a shout.

Phil Brown

Phillip is the eldest son of Kevin the station's Local Operations Manager. Phil completed his service with the Royal Navy and now works in engineering.

Lisa Williams

Lisa Williams

Lisa was Craster's first female crew member. Lisa is married to Helmsman Keith and mother to Yasmin and Cerys.

Aaron Wood

Aaron is the most highly qualified member of Craster's crew.  Aaron is Third Officer on the RMS Queen Mary 2.  Aaron's boat is a little bit bigger than our's!!!

Mathew Bolam

Mathew Bolam

Matty is no longer the baby of the crew.  Now with 4 years service behind him Mathew has show exceptional ability and is one of the most active crew members at the station.  Matty has now begun training as a prospective Helmsman.

Sarah Brown

Sarah is Craster latest female crew member.  Sarah's presence makes it a clean sweep for LOM Kev as all his children are now crew members.

Dean Ainslie

Dean Ainslie

Dean is the son of long serving helmsman Kevin.  Dean has just left the sixth form at school and will be attending University in Sheffield next year.  Dean will be missed by the station while he is studying.

Nathan Wood

Nathan is one of the newest crew members at the station.  Nathan managed to attend his first shout on the day his enrolment was confirmed having only previously undertaken familiarisation exercises.

Kevin Brown

Kevin is the station's Local Operations Manager and father to crew members Phillip, Peter and Sarah.

Alan Punton

Punta is the station's mechanic. Alan is now far to old to go out to sea, a fact he hates being reminded about. Alan was a helmsman with the crew in a previous life..

Kevin Ainslie

Kevin has now retired as a helmsman at the station. A builder by trade Kevin's family have a long association with the RNLI with parents Beryl and Alec being valuable members of the fundraising team.  We thank Kevin for his many years service on the crew and wish him well for the future.
