About this beach
A small sandy bay approximately 300m across enclosed by cliffs and two piers, due to its size and enclosed nature it is very popular with families. Cullercoats provides a sheltered bathing environment and boat launching facilities and within the harbour is Newcastle Universities Dove Marine Laboratory and a working Victorian RNLI station.
