2011 saw RNLI lifeboats in Northern Ireland launch 259 times to a variety of callouts, while our lifeguards responded to 114 incidents.

2011 saw RNLI lifeboats in Ireland launch 980 times to a varitety of callouts. 905 people were rescued over the course of the year by volunteer lifeboat crews who spent over 9,826 hours on service at sea.

At around 1.05pm on Sunday 29 January, Clogher Head RNLI received a call from the Marine Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) in Dublin reporting that a man had fallen overboard from a trawler.
