Aldeburgh Crew

Coxswain Lee Firman
Lee joined the Aldeburgh crew in 1994 and has been full time coxswain since 2003 following his father who was the previous coxswain.
He lives with his partner and their 3 children.
Having been involved with lifeboats since birth, Lee says it was inevitable he would one day work for the RNLI.

2nd Coxswain / Mechanic Steven Saint
Steven joined the Aldeburgh crew in 1989 and has been full time station mechanic since Sept 03 also following in his father’s role who was full time Mech for over 30 yrs.
Born in Aldeburgh, Steven is married with 3 children and has been around lifeboating from an early age.

The Crew
The current personnel at Aldeburgh is made up of a variety of professions, between them they could design, build, decorate and furnish a house and even have the garden planted!
The shore crew consists of, amongst others, the town crier, so a launch can be a noisy affair!
