Lifeboat Tea is a truly lifesaving cup of tea!
The deliciously refreshing tea is now aiming to raise over £200,000 a year to help train and equip the RNLI's brave volunteer crew. Look out for the new, bold orange 80 tea bag boxes in selected Waitrose, Tesco and Asda stores nationwide where 7p from each pack sold will go directly to the RNLI. Furthermore it's sold at all RNLI shops and through the RNLI online shop rnlishop.org.uk where all profits go to the RNLI. This offers tea lovers across the country the unique opportunity to enjoy a quality cup of Kenyan black tea, while helping save lives at sea.
Produced by Williamson Tea, a family owned business with over 140 years of tea expertise, Lifeboat Tea has had a long-standing association with the RNLI: ‘We’ve been associated with the RNLI for the past 20 years and have raised well over £100,000 for the charity to date,’ says Williamson Tea Managing Director Philip Magor. ‘Now we are looking to double this figure annually with the re-launch of Lifeboat Tea to help the RNLI continue in its invaluable and voluntary service of saving lives at sea.’
Lifeboat Tea first originated when a sailor and his crew were caught in a violent storm during the tragic Fastnet race in 1979. All crew members were rescued from their sinking boat by the RNLI and Lifeboat Tea was set up to mark their gratitude and to raise money for their life savers.

Brew for the Crew, supported by Lifeboat Tea, is an exciting, new way to fundraise for the RNLI - you can support our volunteer crew members and lifeguards simply by putting the kettle on!
