Talisker and the RNLI

The connection is deep, borne from a mutual respect for the sea: Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whisky, made by the sea on the shores of the Isle of Skye, and the RNLI the charity that saves lives at sea.

The relationship was launched at the London Boat Show in 2008. since the launch, a number of joint initiatives have seen valuable funds raised for RNLI projects. For example, inspirational yachtsman Pete Goss joined RNLI volunteer crew members to share tales of rescues and heroism in a series of intimate evenings called ‘Talisker Tales’ held and sailing clubs throughout the UK and the RNLI Cowes Week Supper in 2009.

Currently Talisker are running a promotion in selected bars and pubs whereby if you buy a dram of whisky 20p will be donated to the RNLI. You can then collect loyalty stickers on a card and once you have four you will be able to get your own Talisker/RNLI rocking glass.

At the end of January supporters of the RNLI will be holding various RNLI SOS/Talisker Burns nights around the country. For more information on how to run your own Burn’s night event please contact the RNLI Corporate Fundraising Team.
