RNLI Coastal Challenge

With more than 230 lifeboat stations around the stunning UK and RoI coastlines, we know there’s nothing better than getting out and enjoying the great outdoors, so why not walk part of the coast in support of the RNLI? You could have a sponsored family stroll or an ambitious hike. Whatever you choose, you’ll be helping our volunteer crews rescue an average of 22 people every day.

We’ve suggested a few walks you might like to try, but do feel free to invent your own. Simply tell us about your walk before you go and we’ll send you a link to our Coastal Challenge downloadable materials. You can download your sponsor form or set up an online version with Virgin Money Giving and there’s even a travel journal that you can download to create a memento of your walk.

As part of your challenge, you might like to take in a visit to a lifeboat station or two along the way, so click here for details of location, but remember to check their opening times before you set off. Many of our stations are set in amazing locations and offer a perfect focus for any coastal walk.

What are you waiting for? Have a fantastic time exploring the beautiful UK and RoI coastlines, and thanks for helping the RNLI.

By doing a Coastal Challenge you’ll be supporting our crews’ bravery – and everything you raise will help pay for their training, lifeboats and lifesaving kit.
