Stations and slipways

We are presently engaged in a major long-term programme of improving, and in some cases rebuilding, many of the lifeboat stations around our coasts. This work is essential if we are to give our courageous volunteer lifeboat crews the equipment and facilities they deserve in order to save lives at sea.

Calm or ferocious, the sea eats away at any structure, and some of our stations are nearly 100 years old. Our newest generation of lifeboats cannot fit in some old stations. We have no choice but to do this work if we are to give our crews the best possible support.

We are determined to give our volunteer crews the working conditions and technical facilities worthy of their bravery. Should you wish to support us please choose one of the options below.

This Christmas, as always, there will be volunteer crews braving fearsome weather on our lifeboats to save lives at sea. Thank you, on their behalf, for your generosity – something we hope they can continue to rely on in the future. May you have a peaceful and enjoyable festive season.
