The challenges our stations face

Behind every crew is a lifeboat station. We need our stations to be solid and dependable to allow our crews to save lives at sea. However, these stations are constantly exposed to salt winds, driving rain and beatings from the sea.

Some of our stations are over 100 years old and need complete rebuilding to accommodate the latest generation of lifeboats. Not only must we ensure these buildings are structurally sound – we also need to provide our volunteer crew members with the working conditions they deserve. Rebuilds, modifications and maintenance of our lifeboat stations create an ongoing need for funds. Can you help?
