There are many ways that people can help.

Some people:
• make a donation- either online or in a special lifeboat collection box – look out for these next time you go shopping
• leave a gift to the RNLI in their will. This means that when they die they leave some of their money to the RNLI
New crew needed! Storm Force is a level of RNLI membership especially for children. Joining is easy, find out more.
Fundraising is a great way of helping. Every year people organise lots of events to raise money for the RNLI. There are lots of ways you can help at school.

• tell your teacher about the RNLI and discuss ways you can help
• involve your school council
• arrange a sponsored activity e.g. skipping, swimming, silence
• have a bring and buy sale
• bake cakes and sell them to your friends and teachers
• organise a talent show
• ask your family to donate their old mobile phones – the RNLI can sell these to a recycling company
• organise a lunchtime bingo session – you could even invite grandparents
• organise a non uniform day and charge everybody £1
• collect your pennies, they will soon mount up over a period of time
NB. Never approach strangers for money!
