The RNLI is a charity, this means it relies on people like you to help raise money by fundraising or making donations. The RNLI provides a 24 hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland. The crew are all volunteers, which means they do not get paid. They give up their time to carry out rescues in difficult and often dangerous conditions.

It costs a lot of money to train the crew and buy the kit they need.
