How do I know if my phone can play the Rip Current game?
To play the game, you need a Java-enabled phone. If your phone is not Java enabled you won't be able to play this game. In addition, your wireless account must include Internet access (M-mode, Vision, etc.) and text messaging. If you don't see your phone listed in the Phone Compatibility List on this site, it isn't currently supported.

What should I check before downloading the Rip Current?
Make sure that you have enough credit to buy the game, especially if you are using a prepaid or pay as you go subscription. Make sure that you have enough space for downloading a mobile game to your handset (100kb-130kb needed, depending on the handset model).

What do I do with the text message I received?
1. Open the message that was sent you.
2. Scroll down to the download link and select it.
Note: Depending on your handset, the download option might be called Connect or Install, or even something else entirely.
3. The download will start automatically.
4. When the download is finished, just save it. You can play your new game as often as you like without any additional charge.

Where do I find the game on my phone after downloading it?
Each phone stores games differently. Most phones will store the game in your Games folder. Sometimes the game is in the Applications or Downloads folder. You can get to these folders through the Main menu on your phone.

It can take up to several minutes for your game link to arrive. Make sure that your phone has Internet access and can receive messages. Also make sure that your inbox is not full.

This occurs because your phone lacks memory. Without enough free memory, occasional errors can occur while playing the game. You can delete old games, ring tones or even screen graphics to give your phone extra memory.

Why do I need to have text-messaging and Internet service enabled?
The link to your mobile game arrives in the text message sent to your phone. This is so that you will receive the correct version for your particular phone make and model. After you open the message, you will need the Internet service to download the game over the air. If your phone isn't Internet enabled, please contact your network provider and ask them to enable it.

Your network may be temporarily unavailable. You should wait until service is available and try again. If you still can't connect, try restarting your phone before accessing the link again.

The text arrived but I can't download it. What do I do?
Firstly your carrier network may have been temporarily unavailable, so wait for one hour from the time you initially received the message and then try to download the game again. If the download it still unsuccessful then you may need to check your phones memory availability and delete all unnecessary items which may hinder the download. The game is a large file that requires a considerable amount of memory space on your mobile phone (approximately 130kb, just to install). Deleting other games and/or messages may be necessary to free space on your memory to allow the download. You can check your phone's operational manual for details on your phone’s memory and its limitations.
