As part of your 'People Who Help Us' topic why not:

  • Write a report on an RNLI rescue, either based on a true story from our press centre or a fictional account. Alternatively use the 'Rescue' whiteboard activity and make a class book of rescue stories.
  • Use ICT to publish stories or make newspaper reports.
  • Learn about the history of the RNLI – you can order a timeline poster
  • Contact your local Education Manager to arrange a visit. If you do, make sure you check out our 'Making the most of your visit' section
  • Role-play making an emergency phone call, make paper-cup telephones to use!
  • Paint portraits of all the people who help us. You can find images of RNLI crew in our image bank
  • Use hot seating to explore how either an RNLI crew member or a famous person like Grace Darling felt and why they help others
