Fundraising

Fundraising is vital to the RNLI. Your support allows the RNLI to provide a 24-hour on-call search and rescue service around the coast of the UK and ROI. As a charity we rely on you to help us raise the £335,000 per day that we need to run our 230 lifeboat stations and over 330 lifeboats so we can continue saving lives at sea.

If you want to get your school or youth group involved, how about some of the ideas below:
  • Have you heard about SOS, the RNLI's biggest fundraising event in January every year? Join in with the fun and visit the website for lots of fundraising ideas rnli.org.uk/sos
  • A simple and environmentally friendly way for your school to raise funds for the RNLI is to set up a recycling scheme. For every recyclable ink cartridge and phone donated, the RNLI will receive a donation, while our recycling partners ShP for Charity and The Recycling Factory will dispose of these potentially harmful items responsibly. Click here, to find out more about setting up a scheme for toner and ink jet recycling and for mobile phone recycling .
  • Hold a dress down day or a cake sale.
  • Adopt us your school's Charity of the year.
  • Hold a Lifeboat week and raise funds for your local lifeboat station

Whatever you decided to do, your money really will make a difference.
